Mid-Week End of The Month Summer Time Fun Day Update

What's up everyone! it's the middle of the week, end of june, it's summer time and I'm haven fun so I wanted to give you a little update on what's in the works for this week. First off those OhSoMonymooners, Elijah and Rian are floating around the Mediterranean and they are only half way done. Stealing rocks and sitting on nude beaches.. Now since Elijah has been gone, I have been keeping the theme of having an OhSoGuest on the show with me, so you don't have to listen to just my sexy voice. We had Tommy Boy the first week, TaeMuney last week, and this week we have a young woman by the name of Faith Broache coming on the show. Faith is a Richmond based photographer and she specialises in portraits, music, live bands, events, and wait.. Ima stop right there and just say go check out her website. It has her portfolio, which everyone should check out. (fancyclickspottosee) We are going to talk about life as an artist living here in Richmond and her work with the guys from Just Plain Sounds, but more of that later. I'm loven the Richmond artist I've met down here and Faith Set's herself apart from the rest.

Along with the OhSoGuest this week, we also are going to be droppin a lot of history for the listeners. It's the 4Th of July! so get ready for a history lesson like never before! Think Jake and the Skinny Guy news meets Will Smith on Independence day. Yes, it will be just like that!

Ohsoyes Radio- Shaq's Gone!

This week on Ohsoyes Radio we pay homage to one of the greatest NBA-big men of all-time... Shaq! We talk his NBA career, but mostly we discuss his rap ablums and controversial freestyles. Ohsoyes Radio- Mama Edition

So,
With it being Mother's day and everything we dive into our supressed memories and talk about the most memorable time our mothers beat us. We also, stereotypically, play "Dear Mama" by tupac. But we also try and guess which news story is fake, I dig through my old mix cd's from when I was 16 and play some interesting cuts, The Lakers losing, When people like teams from citites other than their own, I reveal my Mother's Day observations from working in a restuarant and we discuss the origins of the song "Rump Shaker" in this weeks Cloud Thoughts.

JPS Loves Japan. Help Out!

Just Plain Sounds is planning a fundraiser benefit to help displaced citizens of the earthquake and tsunami ravaged country of Japan. Millions of citizens have been displaced, leaving them homeless as well as hopeless. While we know our contribution to their problems may be small in value, but we feel we need to pay it forward and help those less fortunate than ourselves. The event will take place at The Camel, at 1621 West Broad Street in Richmond Virginia on March 22nd 2010.

JPS has found an incredible relief fund through Global Giving [dot] org , that is collecting money to aid in relief and emergency services. The project has collected over $3 million dollars already and is well on its way to reaching its intended goal of $4 million. We would like to help their cause, and would love your help as well.
